Test connection before the event

Why a rehearsal matters, what gets checked and how the platform runs as a backup system

A test connection is a short check at the venue before the event day. It takes about an hour and removes almost all the risks that would otherwise surface on the day.

What we check

  • Stage sound. The signal from the mixing console reaches the platform without interference and at a working level
  • Venue network. Mobile data in the hall and the venue Wi-Fi under load. The platform also works over strict corporate networks: the connection is established via TURN relay
  • Interpreter booth. Microphone, headphones, partner monitoring, intercom
  • Listener access. The QR code on printed materials and on screen, the short code read out by the host from the stage

Parallel run

At the first events the platform is set up alongside your usual setup: receivers are handed out as usual, and the platform runs as a backup channel. If something goes wrong with the platform, the hall keeps listening through the receivers, and afterwards the organizer sees how many listeners chose a phone over a receiver.

The next decision is based on the results: keep the backup, reduce the receiver fleet or switch over completely.

What we need from the venue

A connection point to the sound console, access to the hall a few hours before the start and a contact for the venue’s technician. We take care of everything else.
