-
Handover in one click

What interpreters ask
Answers about payment, the contract and working from home
Is this a job or a side gig?
It is work on specific events under a civil-law contract. You join the SINHRON interpreter pool, and we invite you when an event with your languages and subject comes up. You work from home and decide which invitations to accept
Who pays and when?
SINHRON pays you after the event. You don't wait for the client or the agency to settle: the money comes from us under the contract
What kind of contract?
A civil-law contract for interpreting services under Russian law. SINHRON signs it with you and pays you after the event
Who sees my rate?
Only the SINHRON team. Organizers and other interpreters don't see it. We take your rate into account when selecting interpreters for an event
What happens after I email you?
A manager contacts you, confirms your languages and subjects and sends you access to your account. There you can update your rates, subjects and work format at any time
What do I need to work from home?
A laptop, a headset with a microphone, a stable internet connection, preferably wired, and a quiet room. No software to install: the booth opens from a link in your browser
Can I work without a booth partner?
Short broadcasts can be done solo. On long ones you work in a pair: the shift is handed over with one button, and a timer shows how long you have been on air
Can I see the speaker when interpreting from home?
Yes, the video from the venue goes straight to your booth. You see the speaker during the talk and balance the speaker and your partner with a single slider
What happens after you apply
From application to your first invitation: four steps
